Maulana Muhammad Manzoor Naumani was born in 1905 in Sambhal, district Moradabad , India . A graduate of Darul-Uloom Deoband, he specialized in Hadith and is the author of over 100 books, many of which have been translated into English.
He focused his work on protecting Muslims from ideologies and practices that contradict the religious beliefs of Muslims and introducing Islam in the proper light to both Muslims and non-Muslims. It was with this intention that he began Al-Furqan, a monthly Urdu magazine. He was also a member of Rabita Al-Alam Al-Islami, also known as the Muslim World League, Muslim Personal Law Board and the Deeni Taalimi Council. In addition, he was on the Advisory Council of Darul-Uloom Deoband and Managing Committee of Nadwatul Ulema, Lucknow.
